Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept
After teasing its futuristic “Transparent Hood” technology just last week, Land Rover took to the deck of the USS Intrepid on the Hudson River to unveil its Discovery Vision Concept ahead of this month’s New York Auto Show. Touted as “a vision into the future of Land Rover’s new family of leisure vehicles,” the Concept marks the return of the “Discovery” name to U.S. soil – it’s been branded as the LR3 and LR4 in North America in recent years – and introduces a bevy of technological progressions along with brand new design language. Loaded with everything from Gesture Control, Remote Control Drive, Smart Glass, and laser headlights to Laser Terrain Scanning and patented “Transparent Bonnet” tech, the seven-passenger vehicle showcases Land Rover’s latest advancements – all of which should make their way to production vehicles in the years ahead. Take a look at the vehicle above and head on over to Autoblog for an in-depth breakdown of Land Rover’s Discovery Vision Concept.
