MINI Cooper S Hardtop 2014

Having originally taken a look at MINI's latest Cooper S Hardtop iterationa few months ago, the iconic brand offers up a closer look at the classic hardtop. The third generation of its kind, the 2014 Cooper S – which recently hit the market this past March – has already developed quite a reputation for MINI enthusiasts and new fans alike given its respect paid to British tradition, while infusing a plethora of modern engineering features. On the interior, MINI maintained much of the traditional circular gauge designs, yet updated the approach a bit to make the overall layout and flow more intuitive and user friendly. The in-dash system includes the available 6.5″ screen that comes with Bluetooth® connectivity, a music interface and an optional 8.8″ navigation screen upgrade. Users also have the option of including MINI Connected which integrates apps from your smartphone, even allowing you to control your GoPro camera through the interface.

At concorso d’eleganza villa d’este 2014, collectors and motoring enthusiasts from around the world gathered to present and view some the rarest one-off, coach-built vehicles on the planet. BMW group joined the party when they unveiled the ‘MINI superleggera vision’, the interpretation of an open-top two-seater created in collaboration between MINI and touring superleggera – the milan-based traditional coach building house. Boasting minimal lines and extracting the emotional style of open-road racing, the MINI superleggera vision captures the essence of a classic roadster, intersecting an electric drive-train to maximize modern driving dynamics. designed and elaborately crafted by hand, the vision concept blends the tradition of classic italian coachwork construction with MINI’s trademark british aesthetics.

Mini Paceman Adventure Concept

A group of students and instructors at BMW‘s headquarters in Munich, Germany have developed a one-off pickup based on the Mini Cooper S Paceman, dubbed the Mini Paceman Adventure Concept. A byproduct of BMW’s Apprenticeship Training Program, the off-road vehicle is equipped with a modified chassis, a higher front and rear clearance, an off-road roof rack with spotlights and an snorkel air intake to take on dirt roads and occasional river crossings. To round out the rugged look, a unique metallic Jungle Green/matte black paint job has been applied to the concept vehicle.
