Second lockdown? Not the easiest thing! But don’t let it overshadow you. Wake up, exercise, have a routine and dress up with easy, comfy, stylish clothes. Dressing up and grooming yourself it will cheer you up and it will help you step up your game at home. You will see yourself being more productive, planning things and have more positive energy. Below you will find some of my outfits and hopefully you will get inspired and dress up yourself.
Whether it’s the summer’s trending Hawaiian shirts or a tie that injects some much-needed life into your business-casual looks during the colder months, the colour wheel rarely stops spinning. But when you’re tired of wondering whether lemon and mauve go (they don’t, by the way) know that darker tones always have your back.
Black is always the new black. It’s never a ‘Colour of the Year’ because it’s the lack-of-colour of every year – the shade that won’t clash, won’t add pounds, and won’t tell tales when you pour a glass of Rioja down yourself. It’s as happy at work as it is in clubs, or shutting down the front row. But it’s happiest in certain wardrobe staples, the inky workhorses that every good look is built on.
Whether you prefer to dabble in darkness or go all out with the deceptively easy (but always effective) all-black-everything look, these are the pieces you need and how to wear them.
Yves Saint Laurent is one of the most influential fashion designers of all time. He launched his own label in the 1960s and became famous for such iconic pieces as his ‘le smoking’ tuxedo for women, the Mondrian dress and velvet Knickerbocker suits. Over the following decades, Saint Laurent’s style would continue to influence the fashion world. For those reasons when I saw this perfect grey double breasted jacket I had to have it. You can wear it with a formal way but you can dress it down as well with a T'-Shirt and a pair of jeans. For myself it is a piece that the modern gentleman needs to have and to invest in.
1. Reading dares you to grow.
Before you can read, you must learn how. You must push yourself to interact with meaningless lines and squiggles until they transform into stories, characters and ideas. And once you master picture books, you move forward to children’s novels. Novels without pictures. Classic literature. Books in
2. Reading allows you to experience multiple realities.
We all have a uniquely valuable role in life. But many of us, even if satisfied with that role, often wonder what it would be like to live in a different place, work at a different job, or even be a completely different person. For brief moments of time, books release us from the constraints of our own reality. They take us beyond our world and into someone else’s real or imaginary one. They satisfy the curiosity of the elusive “What if?”.
3. Reading challenges your perspective.
When you experience life through the eyes of another, you encounter diverse angles on life’s most common situations. Talented authors will naturally inspire empathy for their characters, and empathizing with viewpoints different from your own can feel uncomfortable. Extremely uncomfortable. While reading doesn’t mean that you’ll agree with different perspectives, it does offer you the opportunity to understand them.
4. Reading helps you remember.
Reading isn’t only about discovering the new. It’s also a vehicle for reflection. Many bibliophiles can trace their love of reading back to a cherished memory, such as being read to by a parent or discovering the first book they ever loved (Winnie the Pooh, Dr. Seuss or Enid Blyton, anyone?). Re-reading those favorite books, or reading about familiar places, times and people helps us recall the details of our own lives. It reminds us who we are, where we are and how we came here.
5. Reading helps you forget.
Chronic escapism is by no means a healthy habit, but neither is dwelling on stressful life circumstances one hundred percent of the time. In short doses, allowing your mind to focus on things other than your challenges can be highly beneficial and even necessary. Reading, like exercise, offers a safe, healthy and productive replacement for negative thinking. It gives your mind a safe place to rest until you regain the strength you need to overcome your obstacles.
6. Reading means you don’t have to be alone.
During your life, you will experience numerous transitions. Changing schools, jobs or cities may require you to replace old relationships with new ones, and sometimes successful adjustments are harder or take longer than expected. Whether it’s through the comfort of a favorite book or through an emotional connection to relatable characters, books provide a stable source of companionship during the times that you feel the only person you can count on is yourself.
Birkenstocks are like that childhood friend you maybe don’t talk to all the time, but when you do, it just feels right. At whatever life stage you find yourself, there’s a Birkenstock for that. The brand is the king of subtle reinvention, fluidly moving from its flower-child associations to become a favorite of the fashion set. And now Birks are sliding into your winter wardrobe, too, with a snuggly collection lined by shearling and wrapped in wool that’s like a full-on hug for your feet.
Pair them with a simply minimalistic grey-black outfit like the one that I am wearing from Antony Morato. The grey tartare jogger pants will give a casual and cool vibe! A black knitwear from premium cotton will complete the look.
I really enjoy wearing shorts during my vacation holidays. At Spetses it becomes a necessity because the island is a destination for many yatchs and everyone is in that kind of mood. I found the perfect pair this year from Tom Tailor. A simple beige pair of shorts with great length and amazing fit. Below you will find a simple guide on how to choose the perfect pair of shorts for you.
1. Pay attention to the fit and your physique. If you have long slim legs, choose slim cut shorts that end above the knee for a great look. If you are short and a little chubby, go for short shorts that are not too tight, because you do not want to look like a pressed sausage.
2. Wear them with confidence and pride and use classic patterns use as stripes, checks or solids.
3. Consider shorts for very casual events such as backyard barbecues at friends but avoid sloppiness: cargo shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops will make you look like an unsophisticated college boy, while a pair of madras shorts, with polo shirt and boat shoes or loafers will make you look debonair.
4. Wear skin-toned or heather gray underwear when wearing white or light colored shorts. Otherwise, your underwear will show through
Below you will find some easy ways to find and purchase the best trunk swimsuit for you buddy.
Waist – Just tight enough that they stay up without having to use the drawstring Thigh – Not skin tight, but not too much excess material either. Mobility is important, so don't sacrifice comfort for a super slim fit!
Length – Should end somewhere between two and four inches above the top of your knee cap.
Leg Opening – This is almost as important as length because. Just like pants, if the leg opening is too wide, your legs will look thin and wimpy. It should be wide enough for your the shorts to slide up and down your legs, but narrow enough so they don't billow out.
Think about the shape you want to create. You want your swim shorts to follow the natural shape of your body, rather than masking or distorting it.

There are two types of pattern-heavy outfits:
The one that turns heads…
…because it's impeccable.
And the one that does the same…
…because it's atrocious!
If you can pull off patterned outfits successfully, the return can be big. Among other things, it can up your chances of catching a woman's eye in a crowd of men. But it requires a bit of courage and a fair amount of know-how. Fortunately, there are time-honored and simple rules for pairing patterns so they'll look great, and today we're going to be teaching you all of them.
#1. Keep Colors Muted
Go with colors that you already love and have in your wardrobe. I'm partial to blues like navy, indigo, cobalt, and admiral blue, plus greens like pine and juniper and browns like chocolate, cinnamon, and gingerbread. Yes, these are all real names of colors that I wear. For accent colors, I like to bring in whites, reds, perhaps a bit of orange.
Stick with colors that you know are going to work for you so you can focus on the pattern. If you're going to try out a super bold pattern that you've never worn before, don't bring in a color you're not sure about. Otherwise you'll
#2. Bring In Patterns Gradually
Base items like jackets, trousers, and shirts cost a lot more than small accessories like neckwear and pocket squares. So start with patterned accessories. They're items that you can switch out easily. Since they're less expensive, you can afford to experiment and make mistakes with them.
The next place to bring in patterns is in your shirts. A patterned shirt that doesn't work for you is a far cheaper mistake than a patterned suit that you realize, too late, you can only wear once a month. Patterned items like suits, trousers, and even shirts have to rotate through your wardrobe. You can't wear them again and again. This is why solids should form the basis of your wardrobe.
3. Complement, Don't Match
When two pieces match exactly- same pattern, same color – it looks boring and amateurish. Try to complement your outfit instead.
If you want to level up your style, look for colors that work well with other colors in your outfit. That's why I like colorful accessories: they allow you to choose from many different colors when putting together an outfit.
Check blazers are everywhere this season. The season’s runways were awash with fashionable check patterns of all iterations. But that’s not why we’re telling you to embrace pattern in your wardrobe. For all its timelessness, a check blazer is a point of difference, a break from the norm and could be just what you need to spice up both your formal and casual dress.
If it’s your first foray into the pattern, then start with a casual take on the check blazer and keep it simple. By its very nature, checks carry an air of formality, especially if they’re weaved in contrasting colours. Today, the check translates perfectly to a more urban casual look.
The Canali versions of checked blazers are perfect, worn with white jeans, a plain T-Shirt and casual loafers. The plain neutrality of the look will ensure a casual take throughout. And for those who don’t know Canali, Canali has been the paradigm of tailor-made Italian luxury and men’s elegance for more than 80 years. Since 1934, it has been promoting the values of Made in Italy excellence through its artisanal know-how, creating sartorial masterpieces of exceptional wearability and comfort in a perfect balance of elements that blends culture and history with style and taste.
So guys go and check the treasures that Canali offers simply by visiting www.canali.com and invest in a classic checked blazer that will last forever! To shop editor’s favourite pieces just click on the pictures below.
Art is an expression made visible by a form. The expression contained in the form is an attempt to translate the unnamed and the unknown. Intrinsic to our existence as humans is our quest to create meaning, and art allows that process to take place. Making meaning involves understanding our surroundings and marking our experiences. Art, at its root, is an expression and the artist is an expresser, translating in order to create meaning. Art expresses and translates, art acknowledges and reveals, art transfers and art intervenes. Art is an expression—an expression of feeling, belief, and character. The simplicity of that sentence is rather deceptive and seems tidier than its implications. Just the statement that art is an expression is complex and raises questions: What does art express? Why does art express? How does art express?
After showing its Cruise 2019 collection at the Alyscamps Roman in Arles, France, Gucci has announced the location for its Cruise 2020 show. Heading back to Italy, the latest Cruise collection will be officially unveiled at the Capitoline Museums in Rome, continuing the theme of “the Old World.”
The show’s location — which is described as “drawing from a place reminiscent of [Alessandro Michele's] childhood” — is a series of museums that feature ancient Roman statues and artifacts, as well as artworks from the medieval and Renaissance period, and collections of jewels and coins.
Along with staging the show at the Capitoline Museums, Gucci is also set to make a donation to the restoration project of the Rupe Tarpea. Located on the Capitoline Hill’s southern summit, the Rupe Tarpea is a steep cliff overlooking the Roman Forum. Until the first century A.D., traitors were sentenced to death from the cliff.
Gucci’s Cruise 2020 show will take place at the Capitoline Museums on May 28 this year.
Serving as Virgil Abloh‘s first sneaker for Louis Vuitton, the LV 408 Trainer has stood out as a notable piece in the designer’s inaugural collection for the fashion house.
Looking to highlight the shoe, LV recently launched a campaign which takes the sneaker to the hardwood, investigating its unique basketball inspiration. Made in Italy, each shoe reportedly takes six hours of stitching and is made of 106 components, 20 pieces just to make the sole itself. Undeniably marked with quality, LV408 Trainer exudes an aesthetic associated with retro sportswear and informed by the luxury of LV.

You go to the gym to look good out of the gym. Or at least, you did. What was once a private communion with your own pain has become a social space, where your efforts beneath a barbell are now the background to someone else’s mirror selfies. Which means one thing: it’s time to rethink that salt-stained band tee.
Looking good while standing in a puddle of your own sweat is no mean feat, but with the below tip, your wardrobe can at least do some of the heavy lifting for you.
Take a lesson from your wardrobe by sticking to neutrals. If all your kit is white, black or grey, it all matches. Which is one less excuse not to hit the weights.
If your gym membership is mothballed, the darker you should steer. Black is your friend. It hides sweat patches and looks good on anyone: slimming if you’re not yet in the shape you want to be; flattering if you are. I choose some of my favorite athletic items from Antony Morato.
Blue, in general, is typically associated with elements such as the sky and ocean. But beyond that it’s a color that symbolises loyalty and strength. It is a calming color and one people might turn to if trying to relax.
When it comes to cobalt blue, which dates back to the 8th and 9th centuries, it is a darker shade of blue and one that started out being used often in Chinese porcelain.
And in terms of cobalt blue in fashion, it’s an incredibly fun, yet elegant, bold color to wear in the warm and cool months and great with all skin tones.
I love blue thats why I chose this total blue Tom Tailor looks which compliment my skin tone so much. A classic blue shirt with a classic blue pant is the perfect combo to look always effortless stylish.
A cardigan is a great fashion item to own due to its versatility and ability to suit a wide variety of looks. Whether you’re going for an elegant and formal outfit, a cool and casual style or even something office-appropriate, a cardigan can make an excellent option. All you need to know is how to rock one the right way so that you don’t end up looking like a grandpa. From when to don one to what to pair it with, here’s exactly how to wear a cardigan in style.
What Is A Cardigan?
While the term “cardigan” can cover many styles, it essentially refers to a knitted jumper that opens at the front. Perfect as an easy jacket in autumn or a layering essential in winter, cardigans are designed to provide warmth while still appearing refined. The classical style comes in many varieties, making this wardrobe staple ideal for almost every occasion. Although the garment may not be considered modern or exciting, it is adept at adding a polished and stylish touch to outfits.
How Should A Cardigan Fit?
Finding the right fit for your cardigan depends greatly on the look you’re trying to achieve. If you want to create a relaxed or casual appearance, try a loose style. If you’re after an outfit that appears more polished, consider fitted cardigans that lightly hug your body. No matter which style you’re going for, you should only ever choose cardigans that fit your size, or the proportions may appear awkward.
Jeans and a T-shirt is the most basic outfit known to man, the most comfortable to wear, and thus one of the hardest to pull off. Because when you're only wearing two pieces of clothing and both of them are the most widely produced menswear items on the planet, finding the perfect versions of each—and wearing them together—requires the ability to know what fits your body best. It also requires you to know what tee goes with what jeans best, and which colors and washes just won't jive. Luckily, I found mine favorite at the moment by Pepe Jeans London.
Virgil Abloh’s second collection for Louis Vuitton proved to be an exemplary infusion of retro-vintage inspiration, with the designer channeling his inner Michael Jackson for the uniquely designed runway show. While the clothes were packed full of unique cuts that donned a refined finish, the fiber optic-infused monochrome bag and light-show-bearing sneaker stole the show.
In a unique power-move for the designer, one part of the show included a black-out of the venue’s runway lighting, with 5 models stacked in a diamond formation showcasing the collection’s new monochrome-print bag and newly created sneaker. As spotlighted in a recent Instagram post from the brand, the new high-top shoe totes a color-changing detailed upper with a tongue that hosts a morphing Louis Vuitton logo.
The new pieces ought to catch a few eyes, and being one of the highlights of the show, will most likely fetch a hefty price as well.
Check out the runway image above and a more detailed look below, and for more fashion-related news be sure to peep the recent street style from this year’s Paris Fashion Week.
Crew neck jumpers are essentially endless when creating a look tailored to your own style. Additionally, the crew neck for sure, is built for layering. Essentially crowning it as the best jumper for many modern man. Whether it’s autumn or spring, our own recommendation is to layer your knit with a touch of denim, especially if you’re opting for a chain or jacquard knit. If you want to casual-down your outfit for maximum comfort, then don’t be afraid to loose the jacket and switch the shoes.
My office is a cozy, book-lined room, with a dark wooden desk and a window overlooking the garden. I am happy there, although on some days, when there is rather a lot of traffic on the road, it can be quite noisy.
But I like looking out of the window while I study, writing on my laptop. I am a city person. If I go for a short walk, I come back brimming with ideas. I find myself quiet often at my desk. I use a laptop, which is usually buried under papers, and I have a typewriter, too. I like typewriters; you can type with real flourish. I can easily loose the sense of time while writing that’s why I always keep my DiaMaster Rado watch on my wrist.
