New V8-powered Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392
Jeep Rubicon 392 -3.jpg

Jeep has launched a new, V8-powered version of the Wrangler called the Rubicon 392. It’ll go on sale in North America early next year, where it’ll square up to the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the upcoming V8 version of the Land Rover Defender.

However, the new model will not be coming to Europe or the UK. As the name suggests, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is powered by a detuned version of 6.4-litre (or 392 cubic inch) V8 engine used in the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack. In the Jeep, it develops 464bhp and 637Nm of torque, which the brand says is enough for a 0–60mph time of 4.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of around 13 seconds.

The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a mechanical four-wheel-drive system, which is supported by locking differentials, knobbly 33-inch tyres, uprated Fox monotube dampers and new suspension geometry that’s around two inches taller than the standard Wrangler’s setup.

Jeep has also fiddled with the Wrangler’s chassis, strengthening its frame rails, front control arms and steering knuckles. The off-roader’s brakes have also been upgraded to deal with the more powerful engine – and there’s an electronic anti-roll bar disconnect system to allow the 4x4 to crest cross-axle bumps more easily.

Jeep says these improvements have made it the most capable Wrangler ever made. The firm says it has 10.3 inches of ground clearance, improved wheel articulation and approach, breakover and departure angles of 44.5, 22.6 and 37.5 degrees respectively. Jeep says the Rubicon 392 can also ford through 825mm of water.

Whether it’s the summer’s trending Hawaiian shirts or a tie that injects some much-needed life into your business-casual looks during the colder months, the colour wheel rarely stops spinning. But when you’re tired of wondering whether lemon and mauve go (they don’t, by the way) know that darker tones always have your back.

Black is always the new black. It’s never a ‘Colour of the Year’ because it’s the lack-of-colour of every year – the shade that won’t clash, won’t add pounds, and won’t tell tales when you pour a glass of Rioja down yourself. It’s as happy at work as it is in clubs, or shutting down the front row. But it’s happiest in certain wardrobe staples, the inky workhorses that every good look is built on.

Whether you prefer to dabble in darkness or go all out with the deceptively easy (but always effective) all-black-everything look, these are the pieces you need and how to wear them.

How I Like To Wear Brown

When it comes to clothing, brown’s name is mud. Brown shoes, fine. A belt, sure. But pretty much anything else in the colour has traditionally been shunned as unwelcome and unflattering. Brown is ugly, they say. It conjures up images of everything regrettable about 1970s style.

That hasn’t stopped the world’s best designers from splashing it all over anything they could get their hands on it recent seasons. Now brown is inescapable. It’s everywhere. And having witnessed its rebirth firsthand, it actually has a lot going for it.

Brown is warm and surprisingly flattering. It also pairs well with a wide array of colours and lends itself nicely to other trends currently sweeping through menswear, particularly textured fabrics and mid-century style.

The issue lies in how to wear brown. All those shades, from chocolate to cereal hues, mean that tonal outfits work well. Tonal outfits are a great way to look fashionable without trying too hard. Try wearing a darker, chocolate-coloured suit with lighter shirt and tan shoes. Or, if tailoring isn’t your thing, try a darker brown shade pair of slim fit chinos with a camel coat and knitwear of a lighter shade.

Yes, ’90s fashion is well and truly back, and with it has come the incredible return of skate style. From oversized graphic tees to classic Vans sneakers, the apparel donned by skaters in the 1990s is on-trend once more. But, this time around, you don’t need to know what a kickflip is to be able to rock these fashionable threads. Skateboarding first boomed in the ‘60s and ‘70s and with it, the skater style began to develop. However, it wasn’t until the ‘90s that skating transformed from a niche sport into a global phenomenon. It was then that wide-spread adoption of skate culture and fashion took place. Practical and comfortable, the skater style was all about loose and functional clothing that was appropriate for the sport and provided some protection. Its aesthetic was casual and carefree with an anti-establishment touch. Today, the look is on-trend once again with major designers, brands and influencers all embracing the skater style. Choose sneakers ( vans would be the most preferable brand or you can choose a more fancy one, I chose my Chanel ones ), hoodies, graphic T-Shirts, comfy pants and cool jackets.

Yves Saint Laurent is one of the most influential fashion designers of all time. He launched his own label in the 1960s and became famous for such iconic pieces as his ‘le smoking’ tuxedo for women, the Mondrian dress and velvet Knickerbocker suits. Over the following decades, Saint Laurent’s style would continue to influence the fashion world. For those reasons when I saw this perfect grey double breasted jacket I had to have it. You can wear it with a formal way but you can dress it down as well with a T'-Shirt and a pair of jeans. For myself it is a piece that the modern gentleman needs to have and to invest in.

Suits and sneakers. There was a time when putting these two words together was blasphemous and juvenile. But in the past five years, the once unorthodox combo has cropped up on menswear runways and our offices, as high fashion skews more casual, and now dapper dudes like Idris Elba, Kevin Durant, and David Beckham are taking this trend head on.

The best part is that you don’t have to be a movie star or a professional athlete to pull this look off. Although there are some do’s and don’ts when it comes to the fit, it really comes down to how you feel and how you want to represent yourself. Otherwise there are some essentials you’ll want to prioritize: color, fabric, and silhouette. You can’t just take a few pieces from your business wardrobe, throw on a pair of Nikes, and call it a day. You can’t just take a few pieces from your business wardrobe, throw on a pair of Nikes, and call it a day. Here are a few tips and fits you can rely on to make sure you always look your best.

Pant length: A tapered, straight-legged pair of trousers will almost always look good with low-top sneakers. If they’re not tapered, you could add a cuff to the end of the pants, which should break just below your ankle.

Shoe color: Your best bet is a neutral color that will complement most of your suits. We recommend a black colorway with a white midsole, or a clean all-white leather sneaker.

Shoe silhouette: You can always count on a low-top leather sneaker design. Mid to high-tops are a bit more tricky, but if they’re simple enough and coordinated well, it can be pulled off.

Suit: Your suit should be as modern as possible in its fabric, pattern, and fit. Pick a fun and youthful pattern to reflect your nonchalant manner; a lightweight and flexible fabric; a contemporary suit design (i.e. a balance of classic-slim fit, narrow lapel, sits at waist).

The seventies have been going strong in menswear for some time now, and as well as the resurgence of fabrics like shearling and corduroy, that’s also meant a healthy dose of brown doing the rounds.

Although there’s a shade of brown that will work well with pretty much every skin tone, those with olive or dark complexions will want to avoid hues too close to the colour of the skin as it can make it appear dull, or worse, naked.

Brown is likely already present in your wardrobe, so try upping your quotient with some corduroy trousers or chinos, a brown or beige jacket, camel merino crew neck jumper/ T-Shirt or even a simple pair of russet brogues or sneakers

10 Habits of a Coffee Lover
TOTAL LOOK: PEPE JEANS LONDON

TOTAL LOOK: PEPE JEANS LONDON

If you get a headache and have the urge to drink coffee as soon as you wake up, chances are you’re a coffee lover. You live for coffee of any form whether it be straight drip, latte or espresso. With the special place coffee holds in your heart, comes with specific habits. Here are 10 habits of being a coffee lover:

1. Grabbing your morning coffee ASAP

Nobody should dare try to talk to you before you’ve had your morning coffee. Your first cup gets your day started the proper way.

2. Needing at least two cups a day

One cup doesn’t cut it for you anymore. You need at least two cups of coffee or more to make it through your busy day. Chances are your love of coffee has developed from chugging coffee to stay productive with your hectic schedule.

3. Immediately feeling relaxed when you smell coffee

The smell of freshly brewed coffee instantly gives you a warm feeling inside. Even if you’ve already have enough coffee that day, just smelling someone else’s cup makes you feel instantly relaxed and inspired.

4. You feel sad when you finish a cup

You feel completely satisfied while sipping on a cup o’ joe and getting things done. Before you know it, you finish your cup and you’re wishing it was full again.

5. You make coffee a priority

You take time out of your day to enjoy and grab a cup of coffee. You have an early morning? You’ll wake up even earlier to grab a cup of coffee to get you ready.

6. Spilled coffee makes you want to cry

Whenever you see the unfortunate scene of spilled coffee, it’s almost like a death of a friend. You feel the need to express your condolences to the person who lost their coffee.

7. You never say no to coffee

Even if you’ve had two plus cups, you can never get enough. How can you say no to a warm and delicious cup of joy?

8. You’re a gold member at Starbucks

You go to Starbucks so much you’ve become a gold member. You visit your closest Starbucks a few times and week and sometimes even more than that. You reap all the rewards of being a gold member such as early access to new drinks, free birthday drinks and star rewards.

9. You collect coffee mugs

You have an entire shelf or two in your kitchen cabinet dedicated to coffee mugs. All your friends and family know you’re a huge lover so you are constantly getting new mugs. Coffee mugs come in so many cool designs, so you can’t help but buy new pretty mugs to make your coffee drinking experience even better.
10. Most of the time you have coffee breath

You apologize in advance to people because you usually have coffee breath, which to you is not necessarily a bad thing. You don’t just love coffee for its taste, smell or variety of flavors; you love the way it makes you feel focused and awake. For all those coffee lovers out there, never give up your favorite drink and always go for another cup!

Gucci to Return & Close Milan Fashion Week Men's FW20
gentlemansdiary-gucci-milan-fashion-week-mens-2020-return-announcement-1.jpg

Gucci has announced that it will be returning to Milan Fashion Week Men’s in January 2020 to unveil its Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The announcement comes after the Italian house had spent over two years presenting coed collections during women’s fashion weeks in February and September.

In 2017, Alessandro Michele said, “It seems only natural to me to present my men’s and women’s collections together. It’s the way I see the world today.” However Marco Bizzarri, president and chief executive officer of Gucci, recently penned a letter to Italy’s Camera della Moda president Carlo Capasa thanking the fashion association for allowing Gucci to return to Milan Fashion Week Men’s.

In the letter, Bizzarri said, “The Milan fashion shows embody the strength and beauty of Made in Italy. Milan Fashion Week is a central event in the fashion world’s calendar and confirms Italy’s fundamental role — for creativity and manufacturing alike — in the luxury sector.” He continued to state that other fashion companies have acted in solidarity for Milan Fashion Week, which have come together to “make women’s fashion week ever more beautiful, innovative and authoritative.”

Bizzari continued to state in his letter that this is ”a vision and experience upon which to build further joint initiatives, keeping the leadership of Made in Italy as the top priority above all other considerations.” As Gucci will be heading to Milan Fashion Week Men’s on January 14, 2020 — effectively closing the prestigious showcase of fashion — he continued to say, “It’s now the time to work together in the same way for Milan Fashion Week Men’s. Adding a day to the calendar is the right choice to maximize relevance and prestige, giving back to the men’s fashion shows in Milan the role they deserve on the world’s stage.”

Reasons Why Everyone Loves Marrakech
PASQUALE KARATZETZO IN MARRAKECH AT YVES SAINT LAURENT MUSEUM.JPG

The allure of this bustling city never fails to attract many visitors from around the world. Marrakech is a must-visit destination for travellers seeking out a quintessential Moroccan experience with a whole lot of surprises. If you’re yet to find out what the hype about Marrakech is after seeing endless images on your social feeds, heard stories from a friend-of-a-friend who visited or are simply out of the loop on just how magical Marrakech is, you’ll quickly find reasons to love it too. Here are 9 reasons why everyone loves Marrakech (so prepare to be seduced).

1. Exploring the medina by foot is one of Marrakech’s best thrills as you try to get oriented in the web of narrow streets. It can be seriously hectic, but it’s that much more rewarding when you locate historical gems like the 19th century Bahia Palace and sniff out Rue de Bab Debbagh for the leather tanneries.

2. The riads of Marrakech aren’t just a place to lay your head at night, they are seriously impressive works of art. Riads adored for a number of characteristics such as the multicolour-tile mosaics, ornately carved archways, grand pillars, spa-like dipping pools, bold colour accents, plush cushions, and the list goes on!

3.The main souk of Marrakech is the epitome of eclectic. The souk (or market) is full of goods organised by their respective section. You can browse handmade bags, nibble on fresh olives, gawk over the artisan-crafted jewellery and even find locally-sourced saffron to take back home with you (just make sure you check for any customs or immigration restrictions before you transport goods back home). Shopping in the never-ending souk is the perfect way to start chatting with locals and master your negotiation skills.

4.Marrakech masters the art of ornate tile work. Whether it’s a fountain tucked around an inconspicuous corner or the mosaics at the Saadian tombs, that have been hidden for nearly 200 years, there any many decadent patterns in an array of colours. Painted, cut and all placed by hand, no tile masterpiece is the same and each makes its environs that much more unique and beautiful.

Nature Lover
Total Look: Pepe Jeans London

Total Look: Pepe Jeans London

Take a moment to close your eyes and consider the sights, sounds, and smells that you imagine when you think about being in nature. Perhaps you see a tiny trail meander through a dense forest or smell blossoming wildflowers as you summit a mountain peak. Maybe you feel the fresh ocean breeze blow through your hair as you dip your toes in the sand or hear the rush of a flowing waterfall as you paddle around the bend. By definition, a “nature lover” is someone who thrives on spending time in the outdoors and observing wild animals and plants. But there’s more to spending time in nature than just stepping outside. Nature teaches us how to adapt to new conditions, reminds us that the earth is always changing, and shows us the beauty in simplicity. It helps us disconnect from the stresses of daily life and focus on finding peace and purpose in a chaotic world. Mother Nature teaches us something new every day, and there are countless ways to soak in the spirit of the outdoors. So no matter where you live or how you define yourself, these are some of the best activities to get in touch with nature.

Reasons Why Men Should Wear A Sports Jacket
Wearing total look by Hackett London

The classic men's jacket is a classic wardrobe piece for a reason. It makes any man look respectable. Think about it. Pair a well-tailored jacket with classic shoes and sharp trousers, you've given 90% of your body a time-tested, solid presentation. All you have to do is brush your hair and smile!

The single men's jacket, buttoned near the waist and ending at the bottom of the buttocks has endured for a century because it builds out the shoulders, exaggerates the trimness of the waist, and it's solid lines allow the eyes to move up and down the body without being jarred to the right or left. There are specific proportions the human eye finds pleasing. The “golden ratio” and similar mathematical cousins crop up in art across all cultural lines, demonstrating our inherited preference for certain shapes and balances. Unfortunately, most men's bodies aren't built along any kind of ideal ratio, which is why none of us look like Greek sculptures (the ancient Greeks loved them some math). Our waists tend to be right around the midpoint of our height or just slightly above it, which is great for balancing and running away from saber-toothed tigers and other evolutionary needs but not as aesthetically pleasing as something more in the neighborhood of a 1:2 ratio. A suitcoat raises our perceived waistline, dividing our body into a top third and a bottom two-thirds rather than cleanly in half.

Love Books!
Total Look by Pepe Jeans London!

Total Look by Pepe Jeans London!

1. Reading dares you to grow.

Before you can read, you must learn how. You must push yourself to interact with meaningless lines and squiggles until they transform into stories, characters and ideas. And once you master picture books, you move forward to children’s novels. Novels without pictures. Classic literature. Books in

2. Reading allows you to experience multiple realities.

We all have a uniquely valuable role in life. But many of us, even if satisfied with that role, often wonder what it would be like to live in a different place, work at a different job, or even be a completely different person. For brief moments of time, books release us from the constraints of our own reality. They take us beyond our world and into someone else’s real or imaginary one. They satisfy the curiosity of the elusive “What if?”.

3. Reading challenges your perspective.

When you experience life through the eyes of another, you encounter diverse angles on life’s most common situations. Talented authors will naturally inspire empathy for their characters, and empathizing with viewpoints different from your own can feel uncomfortable. Extremely uncomfortable. While reading doesn’t mean that you’ll agree with different perspectives, it does offer you the opportunity to understand them.

4. Reading helps you remember.

Reading isn’t only about discovering the new. It’s also a vehicle for reflection. Many bibliophiles can trace their love of reading back to a cherished memory, such as being read to by a parent or discovering the first book they ever loved (Winnie the Pooh, Dr. Seuss or Enid Blyton, anyone?). Re-reading those favorite books, or reading about familiar places, times and people helps us recall the details of our own lives. It reminds us who we are, where we are and how we came here.

5. Reading helps you forget.

Chronic escapism is by no means a healthy habit, but neither is dwelling on stressful life circumstances one hundred percent of the time. In short doses, allowing your mind to focus on things other than your challenges can be highly beneficial and even necessary. Reading, like exercise, offers a safe, healthy and productive replacement for negative thinking. It gives your mind a safe place to rest until you regain the strength you need to overcome your obstacles.

6. Reading means you don’t have to be alone.

During your life, you will experience numerous transitions. Changing schools, jobs or cities may require you to replace old relationships with new ones, and sometimes successful adjustments are harder or take longer than expected. Whether it’s through the comfort of a favorite book or through an emotional connection to relatable characters, books provide a stable source of companionship during the times that you feel the only person you can count on is yourself.

Birkenstocks are like that childhood friend you maybe don’t talk to all the time, but when you do, it just feels right. At whatever life stage you find yourself, there’s a Birkenstock for that. The brand is the king of subtle reinvention, fluidly moving from its flower-child associations to become a favorite of the fashion set. And now Birks are sliding into your winter wardrobe, too, with a snuggly collection lined by shearling and wrapped in wool that’s like a full-on hug for your feet.

Pair them with a simply minimalistic grey-black outfit like the one that I am wearing from Antony Morato. The grey tartare jogger pants will give a casual and cool vibe! A black knitwear from premium cotton will complete the look.

Elton John's 1972 Ferrari Daytona Could Now Be Yours
Source: Hypebeast.com

Source: Hypebeast.com

Ferrari aficionados will be excited to learn that a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona previously owned by five-time Grammy Award winner Elton John is now up for auction.

The vintage car was the Prancing Horse’s answer to Lamborghini’s mid-engine Miura in 1966, and quickly became the world’s fastest road car at the time, with a 4.4L quad-cam V12 engine pushing out 352 horsepower — an impressive amount in that era. The current one on sale was first registered on August 3, 1972, and is one of only 158 right-hand drive Daytonas supplied to the UK. Records confirm that Sir Elton John actually owned the racer between 1973-1975, and it’s rumored that he bought the vehicle with the proceeds from “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”

The beautiful vintage machine has since been passed down to various owners, all of whom are members of the Ferrari Owners’ Club. Purchase of the car will come with all its original documentation including the build sheet, order forms, delivery correspondence and even every service receipt. Silverstone Auctions will also provide every MOT Certificate ever issued for this Daytona, which documents a grand mileage of just 82,000 miles.

Vintage car enthusiasts or Ferrari collectors can head over to Silverstone Auctions’ website to learn more, and bid on the Elton John-owned 1972 Daytona now. The auction house estimates a sale price between £425,000 – £475,000 GBP, which is roughly $516,230 – $576,965 USD.

Car Collectors Erupt as 1939 Porsche Type 64 Mistakenly Sells for $70 Million USD
source: Hypebeast.com

source: Hypebeast.com

Amongst all the amazing rare cars that were auctioned off this past weekend by RM Sotheby’s Monterey, including the $19.8 Million USD 1994 McLaren F1 “LM-Specification,” one particular car drew an extreme amount of media attention. Unfortunately for the venerable auction house, this wasn’t the kind of press that engenders confidence amongst its millionaire bidders.

The one-of-three 1939 Porsche Type 64 — originally estimated to go for upwards of $20 million USD — was initially given an opening bid of $13 million USD. However, the auctioneer’s pronunciation of “13” was apparently misheard by the technical crew; thus, an opening bid of $30 million USD appeared on the bid counter on the rear wall. A flurry of confused bids followed, as the room of bewildered collectors began filming the ordeal. Eventually, the Type 64’s final price landed at the princely sum of $70 million USD, dwarfing the original estimate.

The New York Times explains that due to either technical errors or the auctioneer’s British accent, the bids that followed the opener were submitted in $10 million USD increments, instead of the comparatively reasonable $1 million USD increments. Whatever the case, the $70 million USD bid ( (over $20 million USD higher than the $48 million USD 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO auction) was quickly swapped for a high bid of $17 million USD, much to the befuddlement of the crowd.

A representative from RM Sotheby’s issued a statement, explaining, “as bidding opened on the Type 64, increments were mistakenly displayed on the screen, causing unfortunate confusion in the room. We take pride in conducting our world-class auctions with integrity and we take our responsibility to our clients very seriously.”
