Apple's Own Jony Ive Helps Design New Brussels Store Interior

Apple’s own Jony Ive has lent a helping hand in the design of the company’s newest store, located in Brussels. Apple Stores to Have Special Safes for Gold Apple Watches

As we’re inching closer to the purported shipping date for the Apple Watch, something we still don’t know is how much they will cost. But if this is any indication, Apple is reported to be outfitting its stores with special safes just for the smartwatches. Supposedly for the pricier gold iterations of the watch and for store-demo units, the safes will be specially designed with the Apple Watch MagSafe chargers to ensure they are powered for use. Considering the price of already existing Apple products, this special treatment could mean some serious bucks for the pricier iterations of the Apple Watches, but for that we will have to wait and see.

Apple Watch

With the Apple Watch‘s forthcoming official release, reports have surfaced detailing the latest gadget’s price points. While Apple has announced three versions of the watch in addition to a variety of preferential configurations, the stainless steel Apple Watch variation will start at $500 USD while a luxury 18K gold model will cost up to $4K USD. In response to the prices, the tech giant is planning to not only showcase the device’s smartwatch functions but also position the watches as modern luxury timepieces, effectively becoming one of the first movers into the wearable technology sphere, allowing the tech giant to charge a premium price for the newest and most innovative piece of technology to date. Stay tuned for the official release of the Apple Watch in Spring 2015.
