In Milan Fashion Week for the Etro Spring-Summer 2017 Collection

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

On Monday I was super lucky to be in Milan and to attend the Etro Spring Summer 2017 fashion show. The concept, really thin and philosophical, was the man's addiction to water. A magnetism that is congenital, as the desire to surrender to the sea beds.  Each fabric fiber of this parade of Etro breathed spontaneously. It’s written in the models walk, in their looks and gestures. It was for sure one of my favorite fashion shows this season ( click here to see the entire Etro Spring Summer 2017 collection).

P.S Oh I didn't mention that the Shirt and the scarf in the pictures are Etro.

A day in a pair of LUDWIG REITER shoes

In 1885 Ludwig Reiter, together with his wife Anna (both originally from Bohemian Karlsbad) established their first Ludwig Reiter shoemakers workshop “auf der Wieden” in the 4th district of Vienna. By 1887 they were already supplying the K.u.K. security guards with custom-made boots and welted shoes for the Officers. This resulted in Ludwig Reiter receiving high recognition for their exceptional quality of workmanship. At that time the K.u.K. Army received shoes for their “dress” uniform, as well as Riding boots.

Ludwig Reiter currently operates around 20 of it’s own stores in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain. Approximately 200 world class, specialised shops and boutiques in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain, Japan and the USA are selling various Ludwig Reiter products.

Ludwig Reiter is known locally as well as internationally for it’s welted shoes and for the high quality sports and ladies shoes as well as leather accessories. Around 60 employees produce about 30 000 pairs of shoes annually.

Ludwig Reiter has become an international fashion-pioneer with styles like the Trainer, the Bowling and the Maronibrater. Collaborations with designers such as Helmut Lang and Werner Baldessarini, as well as the Viennese Burgtheater, Theater an der Wien and other renowned stages were established, whose theatre and opera productions are often fitted with Ludwig Reiter shoes.

200 STEPS TO FINISHING A SHOE

A typical Ludwig Reiter shoe is made by hand. Principally, the 'shoe production' across all styles is the same: the two essential parts, the upper and the bottom sole are joined. Depending on the style however, more than 200 steps are necessary when finishing a pair of shoes.

Belvedere Vibes

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.

As i already have announced GDM is one of the nominees at the Marie Claire Blog Awards at the category man of style. Thought that competition we were lucky enough to learn more about the queen of spirits Belvedere. My favorite vodka and one of the spirits that i prefer the most. Wanting to share with you more about the values that Belvedere represents, how to use it and what to wear when you drink Belvedere i created this post.

The cocktail that i chose to make is of course Bond's favorite Cocktail, which is nothing else than a Vodka Martini. The Vodka Martini actually began with the name Kangaroo, as Paul Clarke points out onSerious Eats. The cocktail was one of those that U.S. bartenders created with the then new spirit that was hitting the market in the 1950's. Many of the first vodka cocktails were just as this one, a gin cocktail with a vodka base. Whether it was the public's changing tastes, their desire for a less aromatic Martini at lunch, or simply the growing popularity of vodka in general, the Vodka Martini became so popular that today you almost have to distinguish which liquor you want when ordering a Martini.

Again, following suit with the Gin Martini, over the years the Vodka Martini began to lose its vermouth to the point that it often didn't even make it into the glass. Despite the contradiction, this is often called a Dry Vodka Martini. However, the simple ratio 2:1 of vodka-vermouth gives the drink some sort of depth and today's vodka market holds a variety of premium options that pair very well with dry vermouth. It would be reasonable that either Martini should have at least a hint of vermouth.

The next option for the drink is the garnish and bitters. Personally, I enjoy orange or aromatic bitters in my Martinis. The garnish could either be a light lemon twist or a few olives with either the standard pimento or stuffings like blue cheese or jalapeno.

The beauty of the clean Martinis is that you can customize them to your own style, taste, or even the mood you're in at any given time.

My own Vodka Martini recipe

1 1/2 ounces Belvedere vodka
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
2 dashes bitters (optional)
Lemon twist or/and 1 olive for garnish

Stir all the ingredients with ice in a shaker, then pour into a chilled martini glass or - if you have one - a champagne goblet. Add a lemon twist and one olive.

The perfect combination of style and sophistication

Hello guys! I am back with something new and fresh. I am back and for this post my partner in crime is no other than Tommy Hilfiger! Check out the photoshoot i did in Paris and let me know what you think.

The Hilfiger Denim Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Heartland, is inspired by an All-American road trip across the United States. Heading off the beaten path, the collection travels from desert and mountain terrains to stunning coastal vistas – visiting some of the most picturesque, unique and quirky spots in the country. This exploration of America’s midland embraces the outdoors to the fullest, resulting in surplus, maritime and military influences combined with Hilfiger Denim’s signature rock ‘n’ roll twist.

From the entire collection this blue suede bomber jacket really stood out to me and i had to have it. It's the perfect combination of style and sophistication! I can wear it during day and night and never be out of style! Check the entire collection and my feature at Tommy Hilfiger's official site here.
